My husband and I are thinking about getting either a trailer style or the rear seat style child carrier for my husband's bike so our 2 year old can go out with him. What are some of the pros and cons of both styles? (Don't worry, my son and husband will be BOTH be wearing helmets) Thanks.

I am worried that the clips are not going to fit in the top slot (where the hinge of the back door is).

What I need to know: Are the clamp types or strap down types better at preventing "sway" during transport? Is a stop plate a very important asset in preventing bikes from swaying? Is a dual arm better than a single arm? Your help is most greatly appreciated.

What rooftop carriers that support a bike AND a cargo pod simultaneously? What carrier / cargo pod? The car is a 1999 Cavalier 2DR coupe. A 1999 cavalier does not have cargo bars. Please specify the model numbers "The carrier isn't the full width, but the slender half width of the car style." is not a valid response.

I'd like to find a bike carrier to fit my '09 Pontiac Vibe. I don't want to install a hitch and my car does not have a roof rack. Is there anything out there that will attach to the hatchback?

Yes I could get bike carriers for the back but I want something more secure. It is also quicker to put it in the back rather than fiddling with straps. I had a look at a Peugot 407 yesterday but the opening looked very restrictive. Anyone with any experience of this?

I have a brand new jeep wrangler unlimited and I am looking to carry a mountain bike and a road bike on the back. I do not have a trailor hitch and read in the manual on page 384 that I can not put more than 50lbs on the spare tire carrier including the weight of the tire. I found bike carriers that mount to that part how do they carry bikes and a tire and stay under that weight limit?

My grandson is 4 months old and my daughter and her fiance would like to take him when their riding their bikes. Does any one know and would he need a helmet also. Get back asap. Thanks.

Would like to take 3-4 aluminum framed bikes halfway across the country next summer. How well do these style racks work. Any trouble with damage to vehicle? How about blockage of tail lights or license plates? Are the bikes secure or do they move around? Thanks for any relevant info.
