I'm going away for the weekend with my bf and we're dropping off our 1 yr old small dog at his mothers house. We arranged it like this because we're watching her small dog the following weekend, so we're trading pet sitting instead of bringing them to a kennel. This was planned in advance, but then our dog went into heat. I wanted to cancel bringing her to his moms because I think it's rude to have your dog bleed all over someone else's house anyway, but on top of that, she's an interior designer who is also anal about cleaning. My bf doesn't want to take our dog to a kennel, and says his mom doesn't care she's in heat. I think blood stains will change her mind! We tried putting doggy diapers on her but she chews it off within a half hour. What can I bring with my dog to make this pet sitting experience go as smoothly as possible? Should I tell his mom she can keep her in the bathroom the whole time? (the bathrooms are the only tiled surface in her home). Of course I'm bringing food, toys, treats, her carrier and blanket.
